Who? What? yes, I feel out of the loop. I have not found out until now of the passing of Basswolf!
Some strange timewarp keeping it hidden until I finally managed to see Wild Zero. Well. I guess that’s for the better.
Ah what a day off… Movie movie movie… What Became of Bunny lake, Wild zero, Man With the Golden Arm and now, maybe the City of Lost Souls. What Became of Bunny Lake was really quite good. Sort of reminded me of Rosemary’s Baby (which, frankly, was quite terrific!). Wild Zero was quite the kick! I would strongly recommended it to anyone without high expectations of it, as I would Guitarwolf… You know, for the experience and fun factor! City of Lost Souls was kinda fun.
And talk about glory! Starting the stripe on my first ever sweater. taking this knitting class is a good idea. I surely need to familiarize myself with the craft and though a sweater is a good challenge, my tight lil’ knitting style doesn’t work too well with DPN’s… No. The tensionosity is troubling.
Well, as with lots of these movies, the real thing doesn’t quite equal the expectation… But, the excitement that I found for this crazy “French” movie won out in the end so… nonetheless… I have now viewed Immortel. It has inspired me to check out the comics of Enki Bilal. It was alright. No. I must say that I did like it, I should try a second viewing sometime just to get my mind formalized around the subject. The Red Sun DVD was about the “factory quality” that you’d expect from those scurrilous fellows. I guess it looked fine. Though it did remind me of Casshern with the “Are the colors supposed to be like this?” thoughts. And that cruddy color xerox packaging always bothers me. Anyway.
The movie? Well, as I learned from Final Fantasy, CGI people look pretty lame, but you can sort of get used to them… But sheesh, mixing CGI folks and real folks really does a good job of continually reminding you how bad CGI people look… Don’t open your mouths! Please!
